The Green tour

One of the many reasons people choose to live in Schenectady County is our natural beauty! We have incredible access to a wide array of playgrounds, parks, nature preserves, hike and bike paths, gardens, mountains, lakes and rivers. This District - Niskayuna, Scotia and Glenville - is home to some of the most amazing parks and nature preserves in the County. My campaign team produced these short videos to offer you a glimpse of what to expect when you visit. We hope it inspires you to head outdoors and gives you a little chance to prepare for each experience if it’s the first time visiting one of the stops on the Green Tour.

Remember to wear appropriate clothing for the terrain. You can minimize your exposure to mosquitos and ticks with long sleeves, pants and bug repellant. Most parks and nature preserves are carry-in, carry-out so please be prepared to take any trash or pet waste back home with you. Enjoy!
